Colossal Floral Displays: Experiencing Horton Iris Garden

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Horton Iris Garden in Nashville, TN. This exquisite garden features an incredible collection of over 1500 varieties of irises, as well as other colorful blooms.

What differentiated it from other gardens I have seen is that at Horton, each bed of flowers is themed. From bright jewel tones to landscapes drenched in shades of pink, these colossal displays are sure to take your breath away. Seeing these majestic displays makes you long for warmer days and the lush colors of Spring. 

The scent of the garden was equally intoxicating. From the newly bloomed petals to the pungent aromas of the established plants, the smell of the garden is hard to forget. But my favorite part was the way every hue of the rainbow was painted onto the fabric of the landscape – like a giant painting drawn in the ground. 

I will never forget the experience of walking amongst these colossal floral displays, and would whole-heartedly recommend a visit to Horton. Whether you come alone, with a date, or with friends, I guarantee you will come away with memories to last a lifetime.
